Audio System Information

At CODA, we are passionate about creating a unique musical and culinary fusion in San Francisco. Audio Systems Engineer and Acoustician, Michael Ricci of Ricci Sound was retained to design and install a Hi Fidelity sound system worthy of showcasing San Francisco’s finest performers.

The equipment is all analog and delivers clear and warm listening experience at moderate volume levels. Our stage was built with extra reinforcing mass and was decupled from the floor with acoustic suspension rubber, much like in recording studio isolation room. Michael Ricci designed and built custom acoustic treatments that are installed over the stage. The room will continue to be monitored and tuned with acoustic treatments over time.

The electrical power outlets supplying the stage and audio equipment rack were wired for maximum current, with dedicated and isolated grounding. Line regulators and isolation transformers guarantee ultra clean and quite power to house and stage equipment.

A TC-Electronics M-One XL (24 bit/96KHz) multi-efx processor is available in the FX Buss and has Reverb, Chorus, and Delay as well as Modulation EFX. No compression or limiting is used in the system. However, there is over 6000 watts available power. This results in an open and clear sound with lots of dynamics. The house sound engineers are instructed to keep the ambient volume outside the club at 85 db’s or below, per the city sound permit.
